Project description
The “Corpus Academicum Cracoviense. Electronic database of students and graduates at the University of Kraków during the Old Polish period 1364–1780” research project was conducted at the Faculty of History of the Jagiellonian University, Kraków and technically supported by AGH University of Science and Technology, Kraków. The leader of the research project was Professor Krzysztof Ożóg.
The research was carried out by a team of historians based at the Jagiellonian University Archives and the Faculty of History of the Jagiellonian University in close collaboration with IT specialists from the Department of Telecommunications, Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications, AGH University of Science and Technology at its core, with participation of numerous associates.
The research project was funded by Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education within the framework of the National Programme for the Development of Humanities in the years 2013–2018 (11H 12 0264 81).
Project objective
The project objective was to develop an electronic repertory of University of Kraków students and graduates in the middle ages and the early modern era with reference to the growing contemporary research on the university and school communities in the past ages, conducted using databases i.a. in the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Switzerland.
